Our mission is to Educate, Equip, and Empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault while providing awareness through community education.

Our Mission

EDUCATE

Our goal is to educate every person we come in contact with on the impact of Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence to prevent further harm. We want to teach every person how a healthy relationship should look, how to spot red flags in a current relationship, and break the cycle of future abuse.

EQUIP

Our advocates are here to provide resources and assistance with finding a new path to independence. We provide services that range from maintaining safety through an injunction, shelter, or to helping a survivor find a job or housing.

EMPOWER

All of these services and education are here to empower each and every survivor to rebuild their lives separate from any and all forms of abuse. Love shouldn’t hurt and we are here to help in any way we can.

Quigley House History

Quigley House is the only dual-certified domestic violence and sexual assault center in Clay County. With the support of the community, we have served thousands of survivors of domestic violence for over 35 years and survivors of sexual assault for over 24 years. We provide a safe and healing environment for survivors, their children, and pets.

The programs, services, and resources we offer prepare survivors to break through barriers that would otherwise make it difficult to live independently of an abusive relationship. Recognizing the signs of unhealthy relationship behaviors reinforces the knowledge of what a healthy relationship is and strengthens the skills to embrace a violence-free life. The services we provide to survivors directly include emergency shelter, on-site pet housing, a 24-hour crisis helpline, safety planning, case management, children’s services, individual and group counseling, support groups, referrals and information, housing and job assistance, legal accompaniment, the Injunction for Protection project, sexual assault forensic examination evidence collection, and overall support for survivors. All services are free and confidential.
